Area is land, not people. Every division elects one member, but 3 of the 150 cover half the continent — Durack is 1,410,947 km² and Wentworth is 31 km², a ratio of about 45,514:1. That is why the capitals are drawn separately above.
All 150 divisions matched a seat in Verity’s record.
Boundaries are the ABS's Mesh Block approximation of the AEC's legal electoral divisions, published for statistical use. They are close, but they are not the legal boundary — to find the division you actually vote in, look up your postcode.
Offshore external territories (Cocos, Christmas, Norfolk and Lord Howe islands) are outside the frame. They are part of Lingiari and Bean, whose mainland extent is shown in full. Boundaries: Australian Bureau of Statistics, Commonwealth Electoral Divisions 2025 (ASGS Edition 3), licensed CC BY 4.0. Albers equal-area conic, standard parallels 18°S and 36°S. Party holding each seat is from Verity’s current member record.

What about the Senate?
Senators aren't elected for an electorate — they represent a whole state or territory. Twelve for each state, two for each territory.

No longer in the House
5 seats Verity still holds a record for, but which no longer return a member — abolished or redistributed at a past redistribution. Their pages stay live because links to them exist, and the historical record behind them is real.
