Get help, or tell us we’re wrong

Verity is built by one person in Sydney. Every message below is read by that person — there is no ticket queue and no bot. If a figure on this site or in the app is wrong, this is the fastest way to get it fixed at the source, so every page that used it updates.

What happens next

Your message is stored the moment you send it, so it cannot be lost in a mail bounce. Expect a reply within a few days. Corrections are prioritised: a confirmed error is fixed in the underlying data and recorded publicly in the corrections register.

Privacy requests

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask for access to the personal information Verity holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Choose Privacy — access, correction or deletion above and say which you want. You can also delete your account and all associated data from inside the app (Profile → Delete account). Our privacy policy sets out what is collected and why.

What this form stores

Only what is needed to answer you: your email address, the topic and message you write, your browser’s user-agent string, and — when you arrive from inside the app — the app version and your device identifier, so a bug report can be matched to what actually happened. Nothing here is used for marketing.

Press, newsrooms and researchers

Use the form and say so in the message. Newsrooms can also use the free embeds without asking, and the methodology page documents exactly how every figure is computed.
